JULIE BARBOUR

Julie Barbour earned her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from Northern Life Yoga in 2026. She initially came to yoga to build strength and discovered that practicing yoga also helped manage anxiety.

She enjoys building classes that integrate creativity and mindfulness, trusting the practice of yoga to bring us closer to our truest selves.

With a background in creative writing, she has taught various writing courses in the college classroom for over two decades, guiding writers through each stage of the process. Her most recent publication is a collection of essays on self-care for writers, co-edited with Mary Biddinger.
