Gentle Classes

    • Gentle yoga is for anyone new to yoga, eager to relieve stiffness, and/or seeking a gentle, less active practice! Intentional alignment cues and guided breath work help familiarize new practitioners with the practice while reaffirming and building upon the foundations of seasoned yogis.

    • Gentle yoga provides numerous health benefits, including reduced stress, improved circulation, increased balance and flexibility, and improved sleep.

    • All levels and abilities welcome - ideal for beginners!

  • Gentle Stretch & Strengthen blends strength training, flexibility, and mindfulness to enhance your yoga practice with resistance and light weights. Ideal for all fitness levels to tone muscles, improve endurance, and achieve a balanced mind-body connection. This is a light-hearted workout suitable for beginners & fitness enthusiasts!

    • Slow Flow classes progress slowly and hold each pose for several breaths to strengthen and tone the entire body, while providing the foundations of a vinyasa style (yoga flow) class.

    • This class style focuses on breath and alignment to explore feeling postures, rather than passing through poses.

    • This great introductory yoga class allows beginners to learn the fundamentals of yoga and all practitioners to benefit from the calming effects of uniting body and mind.

  • Gentle Strength + Slow Flow offers the calming, steady rhythm of gentle slow flow yoga—with an added boost. Flow through foundational poses at a relaxed pace to improve flexibility, balance, and breath awareness, then add light weights to build upper body and core strength.

    • Chair Yoga is a practice that offers variations on yoga poses that can be done while seated in a chair. These modifications make yoga accessible to anyone who needs low-impact exercise to aid in improving mobility.

    • Chair yoga can also serve as a great introduction to yoga for beginners! While seated comfortably in a chair, students can experience twists, hip stretches, forward bends, and mild back-bends.

    • In addition to a good stretch, chair yoga participants can enjoy other health benefits from yoga, including improved muscle tone, better breathing habits, stress reduction, better sleep, and a sense of well being.

  • *Candlelight Yin will return in the fall!

    • Candlelight Yin is a slow-paced and deeply nourishing practice that increases flexibility, releases stress, and untangles the deep connective tissues in your body in a soothing manner.

    • The stillness from a yin practice is an ideal balance to the active, stressful activities that fill our daily lives.

    • You’ll be guided through poses and breathing techniques that provide a deep sense of peace and relaxation.

    • Yoga Flow classes are designed to help you turn off the chatter in your brain by moving your body.

    • This active, energizing sequence of yoga poses links breath to movement to enhance flexibility, strength, range of motion and concentration.

    • Sequencing flows with upbeat music helps build heat to strengthen and tone the body.

    • Modifications are provided by instructors to accommodate all levels, though some yoga experience is recommended.

    • Beach Yoga invites practitioners of all levels to flow, breathe, and reconnect with nature along the shores of Sherman Park.

    • This energizing outdoor class blends gentle vinyasa movement with mindful breath work, guided by the rhythm of the waves and warmth of the summer sun.

    • Each session varies in focus—ranging from hips and hamstrings to shoulders, spine, and core—offering both restoration and strength.

    • Whether you're a seasoned yogi or new to the mat, the sand provides a playful, grounding surface for balance and exploration.

    • Modifications are always offered to make this an accessible and uplifting practice for everyone.

    • Please bring a beach towel (easier to clean than a mat). In the event of rain or cool weather (below 68 degrees), class will meet at the studio. Stay tuned to FitDegree and Facebook for class updates.

  • This energizing class blends the mindful flow of yoga with high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to strengthen, tone, and challenge your whole body. Begin with grounding breath and yoga postures, then shift into dynamic movement and cardio bursts that build endurance and power—before returning to soothing stretches to calm the mind and restore balance.

  • *This class will return in the fall!

Core & Conditioning blends yoga, Pilates, and dance-inspired movements with an emphasis on core strength, toning, flexibility and supported balance. It is a power-packed 45-minute endorphin-boosting workout great for anyone seeking fitness and fun!
